Since the writing of Paul’s first letter, the seeds of false doctrine had been sown among the Thessalonians, causing them to waver in their faith. Paul wrote 2 Thessalonians to remove these destructive seeds of doubt, and then to water and fertilize the seed of truth he had planted with his first letter.
